Checkpoint ALR 5 is an aluminum gravel bike built for venturing anywhere, pairing modern endurance geometry with a carbon fork for road-smoothing comfort.

This bike features a 300 Series Alpha Aluminum frame with a full carbon fork, offering clearance for up to 50mm tires. It comes equipped with SRAM Apex XPLR 12-speed shifting, hydraulic disc brakes, and Tubeless Ready Bontrager Paradigm wheels. The frame and fork include numerous mounts for bags, racks, and gear, optimized to fit extra hydration.

Designed with Gravel Endurance geometry, it provides a higher stack and shorter reach for improved comfort and control on long rides. The 50mm (29 x 2.0") tire clearance ensures more grip and comfort on challenging terrain. It is also compatible with a suspension fork and dropper post for riders tackling technical descents or seeking more aggressive off-road performance.

Trek’s premium-grade 300 Series Alpha Aluminum is hydroformed into size-specific tubes, providing a balance of stiffness and weight. Flat Mount disc brakes are elegant, lighter, smaller, and cleaner than traditional disc brakes, offering superior performance and stopping power under harsh conditions. Bontrager TLR (Tubeless Ready) Road is a fully integrated tubeless system for road wheels, allowing lower tire pressure for increased traction and comfort without the threat of pinch flats. The Bontrager Blendr stem technology allows gear to be clipped directly to the stem for clean looks and maximum user friendliness.
